Trust Jesus, Not Darwin
On our museum tour we've been showing you that the evidence supports what the Bible records about a global flood, and that the evidence does not support evolution as actually having happened. This leads to the question, what does the evidence say about the Bible and Jesus?
Should you trust Jesus or Darwin?
Our museum sign presents that dichotomy. At the bottom of the sign it states that Darwin was proven wrong over 50 years ago, at the end of the 1960's. There's a URL (www.SciencePsator.com/darwin) at the bottom of the sign that takes you to a page that supports this claim. To give you a quick summary, by the end of the 1960's we have learned enough about biology, the cell, and genetics such that many leading scientists concluded that life is much to complex to have come about, and evolve through random mutations.
But we (humans) have all known the truth long before that.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools." - Romans 1:18-22
God has put within all of us basic knowledge about Him. But, we suppress that knowledge. In our pride we want to be the ones who are in charge, not God.
But God has given us a second way to know He exists, His creation. That anything at all exists is powerful evidence that God has to exist. A common analogy is that of a painting. You are visiting a museum and see a painting hanging on the wall. Where did that painting come from? Someone had to paint it. The museum building, where did that come from? There was a builder. We intuitively know that if there is a painting, there has to be a painter. If there is a building, there has to be a builder. And since there is a creation, there has to be a creator. Something does not come from nothing. (The law of causality.)
