THE QUESTION:
What happened to the dinosaurs?
THE ANSWER:
They died. They went extinct.
Yes, the dinosaurs are gone. They went extinct and are no longer around. However, did you realize that you will exist forever?
You Will Exist Forever!
That's a fact. You will exist forever. The question is... where?
Forever is a long time, especially when compared with the time you have here on this earth. Then your time in this life starts to seem short and insignificant... but that's a wrong assumption. A decision you make during this lifetime will impact your existence for all of eternity.
The important question is: where will you spend forever? Are you good enough to get into heaven? Take the test right now:
Have you ever told a lie?
Have you ever taken something that does not belong to you?
Have you murdered anyone? Jesus said that if you've been angry at someone, maybe called them a fool, you have murdered them in your heart. (Matthew 5:22)
These are just three of the Ten Commandments. If you answered "yes" to any of these, you are guilty of breaking God's law and face the just penalty. (Revelation 21:8)
Romans 6:23 reveals the consequences: "The wages of sin are death."
If you are thinking this means everyone deserves to go to hell, you are understanding how serious this is. Everyone has broken God's laws. No one is good, no one is righteous. No one, no person anywhere on earth is good enough to get into heaven.
“There is no righteous person, not even one;
There is no one who understands,
There is no one who seeks out God;
They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good,
There is not even one.”
- Romans 3:10-12
This is serious.
However, there is GOOD NEWS!
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 6:23
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
Jesus paid the penalty you've earned for breaking God's laws. Repent (turn away from disobeying God), and believe this is true. God will give you new life. You will be free from the penalty for sin and will be with God for eternity.
