What are old dictionaries, in poor condition, doing in a Dinosaur / Genesis Origins museum?
The Most Important Exhibit
Second to the gospel, this may be the most important exhibit in the museum.
This tattered old Websters Dictionary from 1859 has seen a lot of use. I wonder if the original owners could even conceive of someone in the year 2021 using their dictionary.
I wish our dictionary collection were better. However, even this broken down old dictionary, over 160 years old, is still useful. It was published the same year as Darwin's On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life) was published, 1859. The meaning of words change over time. Having a dictionary that explains the meaning of words at the time the book we are studying was published, is important. Yes, all of the old dictionaries are available online. However, there is nothing like having a physical book in your hands and reading the words firsthand.
Words Are Important
Getting to the bottom line, this museum is about one thing... the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. However, Satan has thrown a roadblock in our path... evolution. We know that he is the father of lies (John 8:44) so you should expect that evolution is a lie. That means the physical evidence will not support the lie. So how does an evolution evangelist convince people a lie is actually true? Transitional fossils don't exist. Genetics shows evolution never happened. All of the scientific proof is going against evolution. What can you do? It is easy... employ a little slight of hand.
You can prove ANYTHING, if you control the definition.
Darwinists will deny it. They will fight tooth and nail to prevent this fact from spreading, but the truth is that belief in evolution is faith based on a distorted definition of the word evolution. We showed how that works on the previous web page. The definition of "evolution" changes in the middle of the sentence. "Evolution" starts by meaning molecules-to-man, but the evidence that is presented is speciation -- organisms reproducing the same kind of organisms with some modifications such as a different skin color. Nothing showing molecules-to-man.
Everyone agrees that speciation happens. In fact, the ability to change and adapt to environmental changes (to a limited degree) is built into all living things. However, this type of change, in which no new types of organisms are seen, is not evolution. The step from speciation to change resulting in a new type of organism has never been observed, it is just assumed. An assumption does not make proof.
Evolution evangelists will not give an inch. Their mantra is, speciation is evolution. How do they know this is true? Well, the textbooks say it is, so that means it MUST be true. Right? Well, I have a book that is more authoritative than a biology textbook. It's called the Bible, and it comes from the one who created life and knows more about it than any human.
Evolutionists Cannot Give In On This Point
Belief in evolution hangs on a thin thread. If Darwinists admit that the step from speciation to molecules-to-man evolution has not been proven, it is game over. The only viable answer that remains standing is that God created. That is not acceptable.
Words are important. Definitions are important. Those who control the definition of words, control your thoughts. This is why we have a dictionary exhibit. To make the point... WORDS ARE IMPORTANT! Don't let someone else play with your mind by changing the definition of words like "evolution." The following is a proper definition of evolution:
“There is a theory which states that many living animals can be observed over the course of time to undergo changes so that new species are formed. This can be called the ‘Special Theory of Evolution’ (STE) and can be demonstrated in certain cases by experiments. On the other hand there is the theory that all the living forms in the world have arisen from a single source which itself came from an inorganic form. This theory can be called the ‘General Theory of Evolution' (GTE). and the evidence that supports it is not sufficiently strong to allow us to consider it as anything more than a working hypothesis.”
Darwinists will not accept this definition, but it is the definition that matches reality... it is the truth. Speciation may be a lower form of "specialized" evolution, but it is not, and does not prove, molecules-to-man evolution. It is nothing more than an illusionist's trick to get you to believe that which is false... to lead people away from Jesus Christ and salvation.
